An Apology, Some Bragging, and a (short) Angry Rant
Bonjour! Vee here!
So, sorry I've been so AWOL lately, but 8th grade is INSANE. And I haven't even had a chance to throw some glitter and make it rain on 'em. Okay enough bad Ke$ha jokes (I was listening to Blow! I couldn't help it!) BUT I'VE MISSED ALL YOU READERS THAT I IMAGINE WE HAVE!!!! I LOVE YOU ALL! Um, yeah, my imagination is large.
That was the apology portion, obviously not very interesting. Now for the bragging. BE JEALOUS!
Anyway I finally got my Pottermore email, and got on Pottermore and it is fantastic and you should all be super jealous!
Yes, I lie. That was a phenomenally gigantic lie. POTTERMORE SUCKS. I can't believe I waited with bated breath to get in, crying sometimes when my hopes were raised and then dashed upon the bottom of the Black Lake. And then I got in, and I was crying for happiness. And then I was bored. Oh my God it's hardly fun at all. Yes, it's fun to get a wand (Hawthorn, 10 3/4 inches, unicorn tail hair core, unyielding.) and you can't beat getting sorted (RAVENCLAW, WOOT WOOT!) but so far, it's HARD! And more often than not, you can't even go on!
Due to overwhelming demand, you cannot access Pottermore right now.
You know what?! You can't access Pottermore right now because some of the people running it seem to be incompetent fools. Yes, I am pissed. Yes, I am bored. So, no, you shouldn't be so goshdarn excited about Pottermore (Gosh darn was going to be something stronger but I don't know who is reading this).
Now.... I had something else I wanted to say, but it has completely and utterly slipped my mind-Oh!! Right! Angry rant!
It is short.
SOMEONE CHANGED THE FONT ON THE HOMEPAGE!!!!!!! I WILL BE OUT FOR REVENGE (aka blood!) UNTIL THEY CHANGE IT BACK!!
I refuse to change it myself, since I didn't change it.
That's basically it, although we have some sad news.
Luna, our dear partner in unmanaged mischief, has been more MIA than the rest of us, so until further notice, it will only be Lily and my blog. BUT WE WANT LUNA TO KNOW WE MISS HER AND LOVE HER AND HOPE SHE COMES BACK!
That's really it.

We've kinda stopped posting
School started and I got ridiculously busy (not to mention that I was gone for a month over the summer) so I (Evans) haven't posted in a while. Sorry about that.
Anyway, since I decided that we should have at least one post from September, I’m making this to catch you up on our very potter lives. Vee got her Pottermore email (finally) and was sorted into Ravenclaw. I’ll make her post more information later (because I’m sure you want to hear her brag about how she got into Pottermore and you didn’t) I reread the series yet another time and have started making potter bookmarks. They either have a picture on one side and an explanation on the other. I’ve made character, spell and magical animal bookmarks. I might post some pictures soon if I have time.
I’ll try to get some recipes up to fill in the cooking side of this website soon but I’m not sure exactly when.

Pottermore: The Not-So-Perfect Email
I know I am sounding a bit like a whining, complaining girl named Myrtle, but this Pottermore thing is really pissing me off! So, finally, the day after I posted that email, I was talking to my BFFL named Rachel. She is in Greece, so we have to talk to her over Gmail. Of course, I was checking my inbox every half-second while emailing her, and then one time I checked, and, TA DA! It was there. I was overjoyed, anyone would be, and I clicked on it, my heart full of sunshine and happiness and crap like that. I received the following message:
You have been selected for early entry into Pottermore!
We’re really excited to confirm that you are one of the lucky people selected for early entry into Pottermore, ahead of when it is open-to-all in October, to help us add finishing touches!
We will activate your account between mid-August and the end of September, so keep checking your inbox for our Welcome email. When this arrives you will be able to enter Pottermore. In the meantime, you can check the Pottermore Insider for all the latest news, updates and announcements.

Any person, smart or stupid, would be pissed. DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT THIS MEANS? I HAVE TO WAIT FOR YET ANOTHER EMAIL. ANY SELF-RESPECTING PERSON WOULD JUST GET TO THE EFFING POINT.
I am sorry for my strong language. I am just mad. This is not appropriate behaviour from the woman who created my life's food. I am shaking my head in disappointment. Speaking of shaking, I am shaking from anger too, and sadness.

Pottermore: The Death of Vee
As Luna and Lily will be very jealous to know (they don't know yet, they're still at camp. I got back 2 weeks before they will!) I got into Pottermore. They didn't. Unfortunate, really, and I should, I suppose, be pitying them, but I am not the kindhearted soul some of you may think I am, therefore I will not pity them.
So, if you got into Pottermore as well, you will have got this email:
Even someone less clever (and modest) than I would think, I expected my email within, at the most, six hours. I checked my email every ten minutes, my hopes growing dimmer as the hours ticked by. My email checking grew more sporadic. A watched pot never boils, so I tried not watching it. Well, not watching it for about twenty minutes. That didn't work. So, I tried checking a different email. Perhaps they sent it to the wrong email? Yeah right. Wishful thinking. How would they even know my other emails?
So, if you got into Pottermore as well, you will have got this email:

Pottermore: The Release
Sounds like one of those horror movies right?
Seeing as Miss Evans posted the first Pottermore, I think she should be posting this but seeing as the last text I got from her was almost a week ago about how she was lost in the middle of nowhere with minimal phone service, so I'm not sure... Let's hope she revives herself (or her phone!) Before July 15th, which, as our readers should know, is THE DAY. I will post about that, and perhaps Lily and I can do a joint post the day after.
This was supposed to be about Pottermore. I guess I should get to that! So after teasing and taunting us about it into late last week, a week ago from today, to be precise, Harry Potter mastermind Jo Rowling (more commonly known as JK Rowling) revealed the plans for her new project, Pottermore. The website says this:
What is Pottermore?
Pottermore is a free website that builds an exciting online experience around the reading of the Harry Potter books.
Come back on 31st July to find out how you can get the chance to enter Pottermore early.
And she left us a youtube video, which is in my opinion has absolutely fantastic graphics. The words are literally walking out of the books (Yes, this is where you all laugh and say how hilarious I am.)

Like I said, the graphics are amazing, so it is worth watching.
Anyway, what do I think of this whole Pottermore business? Frankly I am a bit mad that Jo woke me up at 7am to tell me to come back, at the earliest, July! And then, to make things worse, the early entry is July 31st, and all three of us (Lily, Luna, and I) are going to be at our summer camp! I mean, it's alright for them. They like camp. I'm only going because they wouldn't speak to me if I didn't. Maybe I'll send a letter to Joanne Rowling. Not like I wasn't going to anyway, but still.
Email your opinions on Pottermore to the Hogwarts Kitchens team. Please no spam though, otherwise I might have to come after you with my evil death eater powers. Any opinions might be published in the next post on Pottermore!
Okay, I am getting a bit bored of this post and I can't think of anything else to say, although I might if you email me your opinions (nudge, nudge, wink, wink). Anyway, thanks to Rowena Luna for the idea, even if she doesn't know she gave it to me!
